Psalm 46:10

"Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

How many of you have heard people, pastors, mentors, leaders and so forth say this?  What mind frame does it leaves you in? We all have a different conception to what God is saying in this scripture and we all obey it differently.  It has not been clear to me the right or wrong way to be obedient to this command from God.  I'll share my perception of it and hopefully you ladies will feel comfortable sharing yours.

When I read and heard this scripture at first I was like, hmmmm I don't get it, but now that I have grown some in the spirit, its becoming a little clearer to me.  When I have prayed to God in the past about certain things, he always whispers in my ear "be still and know that I am God", and I would get a little frustrated because I didn't know what it meant.  Now when I look back on what I was praying about, now I get why He gave me that response.

From what I have learned being still is fully trusting God for the best solution to the problem. It all ties in with your faith in Him to do a miraculous act and to know and believe in your heart that God doesn't make any mistakes.  There are a lot of situations in life that require us to be still and to just look forward to the outcome of the situation. Now am I saying that it's easy, no, but as you grow spiritually it comes easily.  I know that He is God and that He will never fail me nor lead me wrong but I'm not perfect I grow a little weary sometimes.

As God continues to show Himself over and over again, soon my faith will be unshakeable, just imagine having that unshakeable faith.  Anything that the devil tries to throw at you will not reach.  Some Christians have it and some are working to get it, I tell my best friend all the time, "I'm a work in God's process", ha ha it's true.  Take care everyone and get in your word and if there is something you don't understand, study and study until you get an understanding that is satisfying to your soul.  Be blessed and pass along an encouraging word. Peace!

It Can Be Anything....

Walking by faith and not by sight can lead to anything.  With our father's hands on it all, you have to look at the outcome like it's abstract.  I love abstract pictures because they could mean or be anything.  I love this picture to the left, we know that the picture is of a tree but it has a lot of meaning to it.  When I look at it I see emotions, feelings, and facial expressions.  You may see something totally different but that's good because we're all suppose to think different from the other.  Just like our trust and belief in God, we all do that differently. So, to me my faith in God is abstract because just when I think this is going to happen something far from my imagination happens.  My relationship with God is funny to me, I take it serious, but it do have some funny moments in it.   I think sometimes God picks at me cause I am always trying to guess what's next, and He'll show me the opposite.  It's like I can't help but to play the guessing game, like guessing what abstract pictures are. I trust Him don't get me wrong but the curiosity be driving me crazy, am I the only one? One thing that is not abstract about God is His love, patience, kindness, mercy and grace; that I know that for a fact.  Happy Friday!!!!! Hope you have a blessed weekend!  Share your thoughts on this picture, tell me what do you see. Be blessed!

What Happens When?

Quote :"Forgiveness is the sweetest revenge."  ~Isaac Friedmann
I remember in the 90's, people weren't so rude, nasty and down right ruthless, what happen to all the nice people? Throughout my walk with God, I have faced many opportunities to let my flesh take over and act out, thankful my spirit has the upper hand.  The other day, a lady at the dentist office was so rude to me when I asked her a question about a payment plan for my hubby's emergency surgery.  I mean she talked down to me like I was a nuisance or something.  She tried to belittle me but I serve an awesome God and I know my worth as a human being.  Now my flesh wanted to say some ungodly stuff to her but my spirit was like pray for her instead and ask God to bless her.  Wow, what happens when your spirit kicks in and tells us to do the right thing? Do you obey or do you put it off till you get over what happened?

Well I obeyed God, when I got back in my car I told God to bless her abundantly and to show her where she was wrong at and to have mercy on her. Was it easy, ummm no, but God's promises for me and my family are greater than the disrespect I received from that lady.  Why she said what she said, ladies I don't know, because I don't remember being rude at all.  Sometimes no matter how nice you are to someone they can be just as ugly and mean to you.  Like Joel Osteen said in one of his message, don't let anything or anyone steal your joy, and believe me when I say, it takes less energy to pray for someone than to fuss and whine about what they did to you.

I forgive that lady in my heart for the way she treated me.  I pray that she will not talk to anyone else the way she did to me because she may not get lucky the next time around.  Sisters, Christ was treated so badly and he never said on mumbling word on the cross while receiving the worse treatment one could ever experience.  If God can take all of that without saying one word, why is it so hard for us, as His children, to do it.  I encourage you to pray for the ones that do you wrong instead of fussing about it.  Obey God and He will reward you greater than any revenge.  Be blessed and to God be all the glory.

God's Will, the Unexpected

Scripture: " I know what I'm doing, I have it all planned out --- plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." - Jeremiah 29:11 MSG

Quote: " God's promises are like stars; the darker the night the brighter they shine. - David Nicholas

As we grow in Christ, we learn that God is a God of all things possible.  Some things we expect and some things we least expect.  When He performs the expected, as far as, allowing us to see another day, or helping us make it through another month, it's natural to give him the highest praise.  What happens when He brings on the unexpected; our praises are not so high then.  Slowly we begin to doubt God's actions or decisions and forget that His will not OUR shall be done.  Now, not all unexpected things that happens make us doubt.  A lot of unexpected things brings people closer to God and give Him a praise He has never received before.

When we pray, God definitely hear our prayers, but at the end of the day He is going to do according to His will for us.  Sometimes it turns out better than we expected.  It takes a major strength to walk by faith and not by sight.  I pray for that strength everyday because I know God is in control.  Friends we have to let Abba do His work in our lives; for He knows better than we do.  Let His promises be revealed through the unexpected.

Be blessed and let the love of God shine through you!!!!!

Inspirational Poem

Arise Woman Of God

Rise up, O woman of God
In what He has given you,
The things God has laid on your heart,
Rise up, go forth, and do

Unlock what God has placed within,
The potential you have inside
The world is waiting for your release
To expand your wings and fly

Arise in your God-given gifts
For this is your finest hour
Arise in the Lord's holy might,
Ignited and empowered

For God is calling you to come forth
To impact this world for Him,
Don't hold back or limit yourself
Let His power arise within

And take His message to the world
To those that have lost their way,
For you can surely make a difference
If you'd hear His voice and obey

You shall be strengthened in the Lord
As you begin to arise,
Conquering those doubts that pull you down
And believe who you are in Christ

For you shall surely be transformed
As, in you, God increases more
And become a woman of true excellence
Bringing honour to her Lord.
